A man back in police custody after an alleged escape from a hospital in South Australia

A 29-year-old man who allegedly escaped police custody while handcuffed in a South Australian hospital was found.

“I am very disappointed that this prisoner risked other patients and staff by violating custody in the hospital,” said SA Health Minister Stephen Wade.

Police say the man was in custody at Murray Bridge Hospital, east of Adelaide, when he escaped.

He has been charged with breach of custody and will spend tonight behind bars. He is expected in court tomorrow.
