A Team of Experts Approves Make Yourself an Artificial Pancreas for People with Type 1 Diabetes

More than 40 health professionals and legal experts have published the first guide of its kind to support people with type 1 diabetes using Do-It-Yourself (DIY) technologies to manage their condition.

The paper was co-sponsored by King’s College London and Guy and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. It presents recommendations that allow health professionals to support DIY artificial pancreatic systems as a safe and effective treatment for type 1 diabetes.
