Broccoli and Seasonal Mix micro-greens revoked in Ontario due to possible Salmonella

TORONTO – The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says a recall has been ordered for two types of micro-greens distributed in Ontario by Broadwood Farm due to possible Salmonella contamination.

The broccoli micro-greens were sold in 75g packages, and the seasonal mixed micro-greens were sold in 100g packages.

Both have best before dates of November 13, 2021.

Consumers are advised to either discard the products or return them to the place of purchase.

So far no diseases related to the product have been reported.

Symptoms of Salmonella poisoning may include fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps, diarrhea, and in rare cases severe arthritis.
