Injured migrant rescued from a climbing wall at the Luskville Falls in Gatineau Park

OTTAVA – Emergency crews rescued an injured migrant in Gatineau Park late Thursday evening, hours after she injured her ankle while on a steep climbing wall at the Luskville Falls and was unable to get out of the way safely.

Police MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais said the woman injured her ankle during a wall climb in Luskville, Que. Thursday afternoon.

Two people were on an excursion with the woman when she was injured. Officials said they were “safe” during the incident.

Emergency teams from the Pontiac Fire Department and the Ottawa Fire rescue team were on the scene to assist with the rescue.

On the 22nd, fire rescue teams completed the woman’s rescue and handed her over to the care of paramedics.

“The woman is finally healthy and healthy and is on her way to the hospital,” said MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais police. “The rescue team did a great job of debating her.”

Ottawa Fire says it has received a request for its rope rescue team to assist with the rescue operation.
