Our city has been hit several years in a row by a terrible flood. The home I own has suffered three major floods in three years. Imagine the rising insurance premiums we now have to pay.
Do any of the council members voting have cellars that flood?
And yes, we did the backup valve, the sump pump, a spare battery for the pump, the water resistance inside, a redirection of downwinds.
I think the $ 8.4 million surplus should be put to our failed sewers.
