Police in suburban Villa Park on Saturday were searching for the person responsible for the shooting that injured at least one person in the indoor amusement park Safari Land, authorities said in a poster on social media.
By about 8 p.m., police officers remained on the scene at the indoor amusement park, 701 North Ave. and continued to “actively search for the suspect.”
At least one person was shot and taken to the hospital in an unknown condition, police said.
After the incident, police were looking for a man last seen running into a residential neighborhood near Lincoln and Roy.
People are asked to avoid the area and call 911 if they see anything suspicious.
